This four storey office rises above Velvet Bar on Canal Street in Manchester providing a unique working environment for PR company Communiqué. The Victorian warehouse, which had remained derelict for some time, was completely stripped to its raw state pitch pine and cast iron beams, exposed brickwork and timber flooring. These natural elements become the backdrop for the modern insertions required for a 21st century office. |

Harrison Ince focussed the majority of the £250,000 budget on the dramatic steel stair which rises up the full height of the building in one corner that has been eroded away to create a stimulating experience for the visitor and occupants. The conference room also has a unique identity with the external skin. |
