Harrison Ince were commissioned in 1998 to complete Phase 2 of this award winning and highly environmentally conscious mixed-use development just outside of Manchester city centre. The design for the twenty-five unit residential building was developed through a series of evening workshops run by Harrison Ince and attended by the end user group. |

All elements of design were discussed from the conceptual and planning stage to the interior specifics of kitchen and bathroom fittings. The £2.5 million complex arrangement of buildings, which form Phase 2, are a highly sculptural mix of forms, colours, materials and textures which create an individual and stunning piece of architecture. The palette of materials so successful on Phase 1 is reflected again western red cedar, zinc, render and buff brickwork combine to form an unmistakable vision for the future of housing. |
