This two bedroom loft style apartment within a three storey warehouse illustrates the inventive way Harrison Ince are capable of providing a contemporary solution to an interior within a very limited budget. Working with a completely empty shell the project was finished in 1997 at a cost of £35,000. Harrison Ince worked very closely with the client to understand the exact requirements with a sensitivity, which lifted the existing features of exposed brick and cast iron columns to create a modern yet comfortable living space. An angled wall divides the main floor providing a blend of privacy and interaction between each area. Etched glass is also used to diffuse light and allow the central dining and kitchen areas to receive daylight.
