Our design for The North Western, Liverpool, won an award in the ‘Restaurant & Bar £250k-£500k’ category at the Northern Design Awards 2015.

As customers enter the main bar area, they are greeted by grand, towering columns which have been carefully finished in a traditional heritage blue to add warmth to the bright open space. The classical orders have been finished in metallic silver which really bring out the details whilst being a subtle contemporary touch in a heavily traditional setting.

Full height traditional wall paneling, finished in neutral tones creates a traditional pub feel whilst blending seamlessly with the impressive grade II listed elements of the interior and emphasises the pubs grandeur.

The bar splits into a separate area where customers are greeted by a sprawling distinctive vintage inspired tile map feature wall, showing Liverpool and much of the north in a hand painted, authentic style on cracked aged tiles. This is an eye catching feature, visible from Lime Street through the towering windows.
