The Earl of Chatham, Woolwich (London), reopened its doors after a full refurbishment in June 2022.
The design brief was to upgrade and refresh the customer area creating an interior to reflect the Craft Union ethos, and to create spaces that could easily transition from daytime drinking and sports, to ‘big night out’. We achieved this with a new colour palette , new floor finishes, decoration and feature walls, new light fittings. In addition we included new bookable booths , fixed seating, and loose furniture and upgraded both of the bars adding new feature bar walks for definition. The front area has softer finishes and a more relaxed look, while the rear area, (previously only opened in the evenings), now has a brighter, fresher feel, with dedicate sports areas and cosier spaces that allow the clients to feel comfortable during the day as well as during the late evening events.
