The Golden Hope

The former magistrates court building has stood on the corner of Park Road for around 150 years. Purpose built, in c1866, it was Sittingbourne's first police station and stood alone at the West end of High Street.

The Golden Hope was tastefully transformed from a magistrates court and police station into a charming pub and restaurant. The design tells a story through the use of a strong design scheme subtly reminding visitors of the buildings historical roots using an inventive combination of traditional pub values crossed with modern industrial design principles.
