The Chief Justice Of The Common Pleas

Entering into the building, you are greeted with a view of the cells with retained black painted doors. These have been transformed into small dining areas, creating a space full of character and history. The entire space has been broken up into smaller areas, forming a sense of cosiness which is complemented through the use of warm timber paneling and flooring, as well as using warm colours depicted in the furniture.

The courtroom is one of the strongest features in the build, as it has a lot of character and reflects the history of the building. The retained defendants' box, the canopy and main bench have been given a new lease of life and create an exciting space.
