WHERE
A refurbishment to an existing pub on site at Haven, Haggerston Castle Holiday Park, Northumberland. The project gave a new life to the existing space, embracing a cosy-pub feel whilst feeling vibrant and appealing to all.
The site originally had a 154 room mansion but this was destroyed in a fire in 1911, leaving only the tower and rotunda remaining. We used the entrance hallway of Haggerston Castle, the dining room and the gardens stock as inspiration for the interior.
The project ran over a 12 week period and alongside extensive mechanical and kitchen works, incorporated an entire new bar, new toilets, a refreshed decoration scheme, booth seating and a new bespoke carpet design. A new lighting scheme was introduced throughout the pub including feature ceiling rafts for added impact. Site specific artwork has been hung throughout the pub with historical elements from the area showcased.
